A really interesting read. I had no idea there were so many "man-made" languages.

Hello, whilst there is no shortage of created languages, the most practical and successfulof them all is Esperanto. Take a look at http://www.esperanto.net

Esperanto works! I’ve used it in speech and writing - and sung in it - in about fifteen countries over recent years.

Indeed, the language has some remarkable practical benefits. Personally, I’ve made friends around the world through Esperanto that I would never have been able to communicate with otherwise. And then there’s the Pasporta Servo, which provides free lodging and local information to Esperanto-speaking travellers in over 90 countries.

What do you think?

I did know about Esperanto prior to reading this book; I even have an Esperanto language learning website bookmarked in my web browser.

At this point I'm concentrating on learning Spanish as it is invaluable for my current job.
