A truly unique concept with a brilliant story arc. Sick, twisted, and just plain wrong, but I absolutely love it.
Quick overview: Detective that is a cibopath (he gets psychic impressions from what he eats) and is now working for the FDA in a world that has caused chicken to be on the black market due to bird flu.

Confession time: I've always been more of a Marvel fan than DC. This series is paving the way towards a reversal of that feeling.

Batman and Robin Issue 1
Title: Batman and Robin (Batman: Reborn)
Author: Grant Morrison
Rating: 4
SPOILER ALERT!
This is not the Batman from the 1940's. Bruce Wayne is dead, but there is a new Batman and a new Robin. Nice premise. I'm not the biggest superhero fan out there, but I am willing to give the series a further go.

I love a good comic book/graphic novel and when one I've never heard of gets blogged about on NPR, it peaks my interest.
These two were great! Sick, sick, sick and demented, but amazing! Hunt them down at your local comic shop today. Las Vegans should try Maximum Comics on Fort Apache.
